I have tried a few tinted moisturisers over the years and this one is my fave it is by Nivea and is 3.99 it has spf15 in it and is a one shade suits all whilst I do not believe this is true as I think it is virtually impossible to have a suits all shade but it does suit me and for reference I am NW20 in Mac terms , It goes on very easily and smells lovely and gives quite good coverage more than some other tinted moisturisers I have tried I use this on days when I'm not really leaving the house but still want something on my skin. My apologies by the way I cannot get the first pic to rotate on my net book.

So I have finally got round to doing my review of this palette , I purchased it approx 3 weeks ago I think for £15 from www.eyeslipsface.co.uk. There are 100 eye shadows in this palette as the title suggests with pretty much every shade you could possibly want I reckon ranging from neutrals , to various shades of green , purples, pinks and greys & blacks some have a shimmer to them and some are matte. I have found so far that the staying power of these shadows is very good whether that is down to my primer is another thing I shall trial it without tomorrow and report back but they are well pigmented especially for the price. I have done some swatch pictures with just  a random shade from each row as there are so many colours. This item is simply packaged and comes with a mirror in the lid and applicators but personally I just used my normal eyeshadow brushes as I'm not a fan of these types of brushes. Anyways here are the pictures and I hope you get the gist

ELF have a variety of palettes in their Christmas range at the moment at fantastic prices , and if you follow them on facebook and or twitter there are often discount codes offered so grab yourself or a loved one a bargain beauty treat you won't regret it.
I recently purchased the ELF brush shampoo as you Will see from earlier posts , so today I decided to trial it firstly the bottle is much smaller than the image portrays it is actually only 120ml and I expected much bigger bottle considering it is a shampoo it currently retails for £3.50 and you can purchase it direct from ELF at www.eyeslipsface.co.uk . My brushes were in desperate need of a good clean so I decided to do my foundation brush or should I say one of my foundation brushes first , and tbh I wasn't that impresses it took 4 squirts of the shampoo to get it even vaguely clean and to be honest I have had better results using baby shampoo so I shall not be repurchasing at all. As an aside In the end I used the ELF brush cleaner spray in the end to clean my remaining brushes and that fared much better and also retails at £3.50. just simply sprayed them and wiped using a baby wipe. What brush cleaner do you use lovely ladies ? can you recommend me a reasonably priced one that will not take me an age to clean my brushes with.

Okay so I have a confession I bought this set as a gift for someone and then decided to keep it myself

sorry cannot make image bigger but it is a nail set from Scarlett & crimson the ladies behind Ruby & Millie a younger persons range if you will with 2 slightly gothic girls as the characters on the packaging anyways thought it was the perfect gift for someone I know who has a slightly gothic vibe going on (they are a student and younger than me) but as I'm poorly sick at the mo I thought Id keep it myself oops. It contains 3 nail polishes in black , silver and a very pale opalescent pink , toe separators , a  cuticle pusher , nail transfers gothic inspired and tweezers to assist in using the transfers it was £12 and is currently in the boots 3 for 2.

I used the silver and in two coats and a top coat of seche vite it looks pretty good I think not too much of a glittery silver if ya know what I mean.

I today purchased two sleek products from superdrug , a pout polish in powder pink an an eyeshadow palette in sunset.

The pout polish has an sp15 and I believe has been featured in a recent magazine article it comes in 5 different shades electro peach, powder pink, pink Cadillac , chocolate kiss and perfect plum and are £3.99 each. Here's what sleek say about it on their website

'A tinted lip conditioning balm formulated with natural oils such as Almond Oil, Shea Butter, Avocado Extract and Vitamin A, C and E to help condition the lips and lock in moisture.

It also includes SPF15 to help protect the lips from sun exposure'

I purchased powder pink and found it great to apply and feels very moisturising on the lips and the colour isn't too sheer either , I haven't included a pic of it on I'm afraid as I have a cold sore yuck !! ( first time I have ever had one). Anyway here some pics for you

Next I bought a sleek palette in sunset , I already have the original , and have the bad gal , good gal & storm version on the way from a facebook sale that sleek did. They are such well pigmented eye shadows and great value at £5.99 each so a great price to try out colours you wouldn't normally try

They have good lasting power these shadow and I think the palette is a handy size to put in your handbag.

You can buy sleek products at your local superdrug or at www.sleekmakeup.com

Here is my nails of the day using a Nails Inc polish in Jermyn street , I got this free with my glamour subscription which is out now and their is a choice of 4 different colours. I really liked this think it is a great nude colour

ELF is a brand I have recently discovered  and I must say I have been very impressed with the products I have purchased which have mainly been from their studio range and their mineral range most of these are priced at £3.50 each though they do a lower price range starting from £1.50. I ordered these today and I will include swatches and reviews once they have arrived and I have tested them.

Studio Shampoo brush cleaner

Studio single eye shadows in Mystic moss and coffee bean

Mineral lipsticks in Ripe rose and Prime plum

you can check out the range at www.eyeslipsface.co.uk and join their facebook page as they often post discount codes for money off and free delivery.

***********does a massive happy dance ************

Today I received my early chrimbo pressie off my beloved , I already have a laptop but he hogs it every night so this is a happy medium for us :-)

t
I bought this from Boots over a week ago when -I had some hormonal spots erupt its is £8 and at the moment there is 3 for 2 across herbal items, selected vitamins and complimentary medicines. I applied it after cleansing and before putting my makeup base on allowing it to dry first obviously. I must say I have tried lots of different products over the years and none of them have quite hit the spot ( excuse the pun), but this product impressed me , it has that usual tea tree smell that you would expect and comes in a small tube which I can see lasting me ages. Anyway it considerably blitzed the one spot I had , reducing it dramatically overnight and clearing totally within 3 days !! I am impressed and shall be repurchasing .

Ingredients  are as follows :-

aqua, alcohol, tea tree oil, arnica montana extract, calendula extract, hypericum extract, triethanolamine, carbomer, limonene (tea tree oil source), linalool (tea tree oil source

They do have other products in the range which I shall most definitely be trying when the need arises.

Just thought Id share the Boots offer of the week it is a sanctuary pamper box set containing the following:-

1x 250ml Body Wash,
1x 50ml Body Scrub,
1x 75ml Luxury Bath Float,
1x 75ml Foaming Bath Soak,
1x 250ml Body Lotion,
1x 150ml Body Butter,
1x 25ml Classic Eau de Toilette,
1x 30ml Hand Cream,
1x 60g Salt Scrub Sachet,
Luxury Shower Cap,
Spa Skin Body Polisher.

It is on offer for £19 ( usually £40) , personally I love the sanctuary classic range so I have ordered one , it is only available at this price until Thursday and at the moment Boots are doing an offer where if you spend over £50 you get £10 worth of extra advantage card points so if you fancy one of these you could always order it along with some Christmas presents to make it up to the £50 which is what I did :-)
Oh yay the joy of new Uggs !!!

Am ridiculously excited that I have finally been able to replace my  battered Uggs , I love Uggs they are so warm and if looked after can last ages , I do not care what these men who say they are ugly think I can smugly walk buy with toasty feet whilst their tootsies freeze mwah ha ha !!! . I got them from www.spoiledbrat.co.uk for £147 including free delivery I used discount code SPOOKY30 for 30% off , so if you are in the need for new uggs like me check em out , sizes and colours in stock are limited .

I was pondering this last night when I had literally zero time to do my makeup after putting the smallest munchkin to bed before going out to visit someone in hospital. So I did a little experiment and timed myself now I know I probably take longer when not in a rush/ under pressure which is rare these days with having a 2 yr old and a 1 yr old time is always of the essence. Anyway so what I applied was the following:-

-Garnier pure activ moisturiser
- Elf mineral primer
-Mac sculpt foundation in NW20
-Estee Lauder double wear concealer in shade light/fair 01
-Models own blush in peach
-From my Urban decay Naked palette - 'virgin' over the lid up to brow bone and 'Sin' all over the lid
-Collection 2000 liquid liner in brown on top lids
-Urban decay 24/7 eye liner in zero on lower lids
-Maybelline Define a lash mascara
-Elf mineral lipstick in Runway pink

And I applied all this in the grand total of ......................................
9 Minutes

How long does it take you other ladies to do yours ? please leave a comment in box below.

Okay so I took this picture this morning when I was leaving from my little break away with Dan and the munchkins , excuse gormy expression and my caterpillar eyebrow's that are in major need of a good wax

- Mac sculpt foundation in NW20
-Estee Lauder double wear concealer in fair/light 01
-Collection 200 illuminating concealer
-Shade 'Virgin' from my urban decay naked palette over the lid up to brow bone and from the same palette 'Naked' on the lid.
-Loreal carbon gloss eye liner on top of lids
-urban decay 24/7 eyeliner in Zero on lower lids
-Maybelline waterproof define a lash mascara
-Models own blusher in peach
-Barry m lip gloss in toffee ( shade 01)

So here are my nails of the day,  well really I painted them last night but let's not get hung up on technicalities.

Admittedly not the neatest job but for these I used Barry M's nail paint in raspberry which I think it just a perfect autumn/winter shade , it too 2 coats to be truly opaque and the New Barry M nail effects nail polish which I do like but I'm still reserving judgement,  for this you just add one coat over your base colour and watch it change before your eyes.
Thought Id share my fave budget skincare buys as being a mummy of 2 does not leave loads of spare money for high end products and also I'm crap at keeping up with a proper skincare routine being that I can be lazy and sometimes I just simply do not have the time or energy once I have put my munchkins to bed.

So firstly we have Boots cucumber cleansing wipes

What boots say about this product is

Boots Essentials Cucumber Cleansing Wipes contain extract of cucumber to help gently soften and soothe. Enriched with soothing cucumber Aloe Vera and Vitamin E, Cucumber Cleansing Wipes work to remove make-up and excess oils, leaving skin clean, soft and smooth.
Boots Essentials Cucumber Wipes are suitable for all skin types

I have to say that these leave my skin super soft , and can even deal with taking off my eye makeup too and considering I use waterproof mascara and eyeliner that is really good . I use these when I'm stuck for time at night time and in the morning to refresh my face before moisturising and applying primer before doing my make-up. They are are a bargain at £1.99 and are often on 3 for 2 for bogof. In fact my skin has improved since using these so I am tempted to try these when I run out of moisturiser and my current cleansing lotion which I will come to in a minute.

Next is my cleansing wash called gentle foaming cleanser which I got using my No7 voucher for £5 off , I spotted it at the till and thought I would give it a go

Here's what Boots say on their website:-

No7 Gentle Foaming Cleanser works in harmony with your skin to leave your face clean, comfortable and radiant.

I really like this it makes me skin feel really refreshed when I use it and doesn't dry my skin out also it is a foam which I like and one pump is enough for each use I may repurchase this using my voucher again it retails at £7.75 which is not a bad price anyway but is only £2.75 when used with a voucher.

Next is my garnier pure active spot fighting 24 hr moisturiser , I bought this from sainsbury's when I was having a hormonal breakout and it has cleared it right up.

What Garnier say :-

It's a NEW and effective moisturiser that helps protect against the appearance of spots before they appear. Moreover, it improves the skin's appearance by hydrating it and visibly reducing shine. The product is enriched with Salicylic Acid and helps to deeply purify and mattify skin to protect against spots even before they appear.
Now I do not know if it is this moisturiser or one of the above products or the sheer combo of them all but my skin is super clear and feels very soft so I'm enjoying using this only downside is does have that medicated smell that you get from acne products but it's a small price to pay for clear skin. I use this at night and in the morning before I put my make up primer on.

What are your fave budget skincare products please share with me in the comments below :-) xxx
